Some children might arrive right at 7:30 am and have the whole patio area to play – bikes‚ trikes and scooters. We offer well stocked shelves of toys and educational materials‚ bins of blocks‚ trays of puzzle as well as white boards and markers‚ many books to read and dolls to play with.
9:00 am Breakfast time: Usually a choice of cereal‚ milk and fruit. this is a good time to work on manners (please may I have more Cheerios) and eating correctly.

9:30–10:00 – Playground Time! On my gosh! So much fun and exercise. learning cooperation and patience waiting for turns even though we have two swing sets‚ many cars and bikes in our quarter acre park like setting with a tree house‚ huge sandbox‚ sand and water table‚ cars to ride in‚ play house‚ rocking horse and lots or room to play tag‚ ring around the rosy and enjoy being outside.
10:00 – 11:00 Circle Time! It’s the best time of the day! The children are placed as to ability rather than age and each week we work on an exciting theme‚. Children sit together and the teacher initiates a conversation about topics such as the weather‚ the calendar: focusing on the month‚ day‚ year‚ and day of the week‚ the seasons‚ an upcoming holiday or a special event. Usually our teacher will lead a discussion about a special theme or group project. The children will be introduced to a new letter‚ number‚ shape and color each week. They will also sing different songs such as the alphabet song‚ the days of the week song‚ the months of the year song‚ the number song‚ and different nursery rhymes.
11:00 Art Project: A wide variety of colorful paints‚ papers‚ interesting‚ manipulative‚ recycled‚ to create a activity worthy of the week’s theme. If we are learning abut Fairy Tales and the Three Little Pigs the children could make a mural of the forest‚ a mask a pig and act out the story.
Cognitive area: Books‚ puzzles‚ manipulative toys‚ pre–reading‚ math and science tools
Story time: Children gather together to listen as the teacher tells a story or reads from a book. They look at the illustrations and discuss them. The teacher asks questions about the story‚ helping children to learn to predict what will happen next. She encourages them to think about the characters and plot‚ and to use new vocabulary from the story.
11:45: Toileting and diaper changing
12:00 Hot Lunch: We serve all of our meals family style. Children can enjoy as much of each variety of food that they like. We serve Foods that children enjoy and will eat is our priority

1:30 Nap time: After lunch its time for toileting and toilet training‚ the toddlers are put down for their naps in their port a cribs. The older toddlers and preschoolers have their mats and sheets and blankets that we provide and wash on a weekly basis. They learn to relax to breathing techniques‚ back rubbing until they fall asleep.
4:00 Snack time: Diluted apple juice and crackers.
4:30 Free Choice: Children choose from a variety of different activities available in the different centers throughout the classroom: or patio: Free Play‚ Music‚ Dance‚ playground‚ Art‚ Infants and Toddlers.
